Our founder, Dr. Howard Bender, has over 20 years of government and industry experience as a practicing software engineer, and has taught software engineering at the college level for over 20 years.  He developed the joint Master of Software Engineering degree program for the University of Maryland and administered it for its first three years.  He also developed the courses for the Certificate in Software Engineering at the Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland.   A stickler for quality, Dr. Bender has received formal recognition for his work from NASA and from Johns Hopkins University.  He can be contacted at hjbender@epi-center.net

was founded in 1995 in response to a request to improve the technology education in a public school system.    Since then our broad expertise in software engineering has been used by government, industry, and academia in projects large and small.
