Software Maintenance

  • Description
    The Software Maintenance seminar provides an overview of the transition from development to maintenance, and activities specific to maintenance.  Maintenance models and planning guides are presented, including industry-accepted reporting needed for maintenance.  The IEEE Maintenance Process is presented as possible guidance for organizations.
  • At the end of the seminar, attendees will be able to
    • Recognize activities that must be performed for a smooth transition between development and maintenance
    • Develop a workable System Transition plan
    • Understand common problems associated with maintenance, and solutions for them
    • Understand different maintenance models and associated planning to implement them
    • Propose effective maintenance reporting procedures
    • Follow the IEEE Maintenance Process

  • Instructor Qualifications

    1. Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
    2. 5 years professional experience in software engineering
    3. 5 years experience teaching computer professionals at the Graduate school level
