    The Software Process Improvement seminar provides an overview of ways to improve both organizations and software development projects.  Various strategies and quality improvement paradigms are covered, and ways to measure their effectiveness.  The three most common process improvement models, the Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), the Software Engineering Laboratory Model (SEL), and ISO 9000, are presented in some detail.
  • At the end of the seminar, attendees will be able to

    • Understand the differences between organization & project improvement
    • Understand ways to improve quality
    • Understand ways to measure the effectiveness of your strategy
    • Understand how to use the Capability Maturity Model Integrated

  • Instructor Qualifications

    1. Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
    2. 5 years professional experience in software engineering
    3. 5 years experience teaching computer professionals at the Graduate school level
