System Requirements & System Design

  • Description
The System Requirements & System Design seminar provides an overview of project components used by software engineers to begin their development effort.  Initial phases of a project involve more user interaction, and the documentation developed reflects that user perspective.  Software engineers must understand how to recognize software requirements expressed in user terms, and must consider design factors important to users.  The successful interpretation of System documentation will lead to the successful development of software requirements.
  • At the end of the seminar, attendees will be able to
    • Develop and use a requirements checklist
    • Interpret system operational requirements for software implementation
    • Understand the Concept of Operations document
    • Understand considerations in the development of system requirements
    • Recognize design considerations for performance, reliability, maintainability, human factors, safety, supportability, testability, and economic feasibility, for implementation as software requirements
  • There is no limit on the number of attendees

  • Instructor Qualifications

    1. Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
